Center for Hearing & Speech Disco Nights New Date March 30

It’ll be ‘Saturday Night Fever’ on Sunday afternoon when the Center for Hearing & Speech holds its annual ‘Musical Mayhem’ fund-raiser with a theme of “Disco Nights” at the Hollywood Casino St. Louis on Sunday, March 30. The event, originally planned for March 2, was rescheduled due to inclement weather to March 30.

From 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. guests will relive the disco era or visit the land of big hair and psychedelic clothes for the first time at the Hollywood’s Boogie Nights, the Ultimate ‘70s and ‘80s Dance Club.  Tickets are available starting at $50 for ages 21 to 35 and at $85 for those who were born before or during the disco craze.  Tickets are available online at www.hearingspeechstlouis.org. All sales proceeds generated at ‘Musical Mayhem’ benefit the Center’s audiology and speech language programs for St. Louisans in need.

Rita Tintera, executive director of the Center for Hearing & Speech said: “We encourage all of our guests to fully invest themselves in the spirit of the disco era by wearing the most eye-catching period attire they can find in their attics and basements.”

The event will include food, drinks, entertainment and bidding at both silent and ‘live’ auctions.  New to this year’s event is electronic bidding, allowing patrons to bid on auction items from the convenience of their cell phones.

Free parking will be available in the main parking lot and hotel garage, as well as valet parking.  Entrance to the event will be through the main casino lobby; the Boogie Nights entrance is to the left of the right-side casino entrance.

Sponsors for the annual ‘Musical Mayhem’ fund-raiser include Coventry Health Care, Hollywood Casino St. Louis, LDI Integrated Pharmacy Services, Ameren Missouri, Waterway Car Wash, Amalgamated Bank of Chicago, Hammond & Shinners P.C., International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 610, Mutual of America, Wolfe Nilges Nahorski P.C., Citizens National Bank, Keystone IT and Oaktree Products, Inc.

The center’s primary goal is to identify, treat and help St. Louisans with communications disorders by offering speech/language and audiology services to children and adults, regardless of whether they have insurance and/or financial resources to afford such care.  For additional information, call 314-968-4710 or visit www.hearing-speechstlouis.org.
