Village North to Hold Benefit Shower for St. Louis Crisis Nursery
Village North Retirement Community is holding a benefit shower for the St. Louis Crisis Nursery on Tuesday, March 18 from 1:30 – 3:30 p.m. The retirement community is located at 11160 Village North Drive, off Dunn Road.
Parenting can be difficult and take its toll at the weakest moments on the children.
Single parents may become seriously ill and have no one else to take care of their children.
That’s when the non-profit Saint Louis Crisis Nursery steps in as a safe haven – to prevent abuse and neglect to our youngest population. Anyone can bring their child at any time to be cared for by the volunteers at the nursery location when it feels too challenging to do so on their own. But supplies may get short, at times, and need replenishing. Children need activity and food.
There will be games, refreshments, a 50/50 drawing and prizes at the benefit shower at Village North. Attendees are asked to bring a donation to benefit Saint Louis Crisis Nursery. A list of needed items can be viewed at: www.crisisnurserykids.org at the top under “Get involved,” listed as the “Wish list.” Monetary donations will also be accepted at the shower.
