Several activities were located on Old St. Ferdinand Shrine grounds during the Valley of Flowers festival, May 2-4. The shrine and schoolhouse were open for tours and a book sale was held in the schoolhouse. Re-enactors set up camp giving visitors a taste of historical times and bread baked in the outdoor brick oven. .
