Hazelwood Hosts Holiday Bazaar and Santa Visit

The Hazelwood Parks and Recreation Division is hosting two holiday events on Saturday, December 7, at the Hazelwood Community Center, 1186 Teson Road in White Birch Park.  One is a Holiday Craft Bazaar from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and the other is a Visit with Santa from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.  Both programs are free and open to the public.

Holiday Craft Bazaar

Nearly 60 of the area’s most talented crafters will be showcasing their hand-made creations at Hazelwood’s annual Holiday Craft Bazaar.  Everything ranging from decorated wreaths to tree ornaments, jewelry pieces to purses and fashion accessories, as well as picture frames to hand-carved wooden toys and figurines will be on display at bargain prices.

Other one-of-a-kind gifts such as candles, stuffed animals, dolls, and crocheted items like sweaters, scarves, hats and gloves will make it easier to find the perfect gift for a loved one or special friend.

There is still booth space available for vendors who wish to sign-up at the last minute.  Application forms are available at both recreation centers and can be downloaded from the City’s website at www.hazelwoodmo.org. Simply fill out the forms and turn them in by Thursday, December 5, to the Hazelwood Parks and Recreation Office inside the Community Center.  Vendor fees are $15 for residents and $20 for non-residents.

Visit With Santa at Community Center

Old Saint Nick will be making his seasonal visit to the Hazelwood Community Center just in time to get everyone’s wish list before Christmas.  Children of all ages are invited to stop by.  Laura Jordan of Personal Expressions Photo Booth will be on hand to take their pictures with Santa as well.  Photo fees are $2 for residents and $3 for non-residents.  Refreshments will be served.
