Historic Florissant to Host Annual Christmas House Tour

This historic Florissant home at 2705 Parker Road is on the Holiday House Tour on Sunday, Dec. 1

Historic Florissant, Inc. is hosting their 40th Christmas House Tour this year on Dec , the Sunday after Thanksgiving. This annual event is a major fundraiser for the not-for-profit organization, and marks the opening of the Christmas Season for many people.

The tour this year includes some of the most requested sites, such as the Auguste Archambault House and St. Ferdinand Shrine. Along with these favorites, three homes will be on tour for the very first time. All the stops on the tour will be decorated for Christmas, which will be sure to put everyone in a holiday mood. Light refreshments will be offered at each of the homes, as well.

In addition to offering wine samples at Hendels Market Café, owners Christina and Nathan Bennett are opening their home on St. Marie. Many will remember visiting the Bennett’s home earlier this year on Old Town Partners Pond Tour.

The tour will begin at 2  and end at 6 pm. Ticket holders can visit the stops in any order they choose. The tickets for the event are only $12 each and can be purchased at Historic Florissant’s office at the Gittemeier House, 1067 Dunn Road, as well as Korte’s and Dooley’s, both in the 600 block of St. Francois in Old Town. Maps and driving directions are included with the tickets.
