Soroptimist International of Greater St. Louis is seeking nominations for its 2013 Soroptimist Ruby Award.

The Soroptimist Ruby Award honors women who have worked to improve the lives of women and girls through their professional and/or volunteer work. Women may nominate themselves or someone they know by December 1, 2013.

Soroptimist is a global women’s organization whose members volunteer to improve the lives of women and girls through programs leading to social and economic empowerment.  The organization is particularly concerned with providing women and girls access to education, as this is the most effective path to self-determination.
