Bowling for Scholarship Dollars a Raises Over $5,000

The Greater North County Chamber of Commerce held their annual Bowlign for Scholarship Dollars competition on Aug. 7 at AMF Dick Weber Lanes in Florissant.

The even was a success, as 129 bowlers helped raise over $5,000 for the chamber’s scholarship fund. The proceeds are used to award scholarships to high school seniors who live in the Chamber’s service area. To date, the Chamber has awarded $46,000 in scholarships.

For the second year in a row, team ITS Computers bowled their way to first place, beating out 21 other teams. The team from Neighbors Credit Union proudly stepped up to the alley to accept their last-place trophies.

The Partners in Education Committee and the Chamber wants to thank everyone who helped make this event a success.

A special thanks goes to Sister Karl Mary Winkelmann, president of Trinity Catholic High School, for helping the staff with registration and to Dr. Tobias Grayling, superintendent of the Hazelwood School District, for joining his teams of bowlers on the lanes.
