Summer classes were cancelled on Monday at McCluer High School and Johnson-Wabash Elementary School; programs resumed Tuesday at new locations. Summer Adventure Camp at Vogt Elementary School moving to Combs Elementary.

The Ferguson-Florissant School District will make changes to some of its summer learning programs as a result of damage some district facilities sustained during the storm that swept the area on May 31.

Due to a power outage and building damage at Johnson-Wabash Elementary School, located at 685 January Ave., the District’s elementary-level summer school, Summer Math and Reading Tutorial (S.M.A.R.T.) program, and 21st Century Summer Learning program scheduled to be held at Johnson-Wabash will be cancelled for Monday, June 3.

Starting Tuesday, June 4, these elementary-level summer learning programs will be held at Duchesne Elementary School, located at 100 S. New Florissant Rd.

Due to a power outage at McCluer High School, secondary-level summer school classes were  cancelled for Monday, June 3.

Starting Tuesday, June 4, secondary-level summer school classes will be held at McCluer North High School, located at 705 Waterford Dr. in Florissant, until power is restored at McCluer High School.

Due to a power outage at Vogt Elementary School, located at 200 Church St. in Ferguson, the Summer Adventure Camp which begins Monday, June 3 will be moved to Combs Elementary School, located at 300 St. Jean St. in Florissant.

There are no changes to the district’s other summer learning programs which will begin as scheduled on Monday at Wedgwood Elementary School, McCluer South-Berkeley High School and the Mark Twain Student Support Center.
