16 Students to be Honored at N. County Appreciation Dinner

North County Youth Appreciation Dinner on April 28, at 3:30 in the Atrium, at the Detrick Building at Christian Hospital Northeast. Awards will be given to 16 outstanding students from the Hazelwood, Ferguson/Florissant, and Jennings School Districts, as well as from Trinity Catholic High School.

Awards are presented to middle and high school students who have made outstanding achievements in academics, athletics, the arts, and citizenship/community service during their school careers. President Rance Thomas said these students have excelled in their activities and are being recognized not only for their achievements but also as an example for other students.”

Keynote Speaker will be Supt. Tiffany Anderson of  the Jennings School District.  Invocation will be given by Rev. John Gregory, pastor of St. Marks UMC and Benediction will be given by Rev. John Higgins, pastor of John Knox Presbyterian Church,  Master of Ceremonies will be Rev. Cedric Portis, pastor of Third Presbyterian Church.  Coordinator is Barbara Thompson, retired assistant superintendent of Hazelwood School District.
