Ferguson Twilight 5K, 10K will Run Through Neighborhoods

The race routes are confirmed for the 2013 Ferguson Twilight Run/Walk. The 5K and 10K routes will wind through the neighborhoods of historic Ferguson as community groups motivate runners and walkers at cheer stations and water stops.
The fourth annual Ferguson Twilight Run/Walk is Saturday, May 18. It is the only evening race in North St. Louis County. The race includes one-mile, 5K and 10K distances. The race is formerly known as LiveWell Ferguson Twilight 5K Run/Walk. Race times are set for 5:00 p.m. for the one-mile distance and 6 p.m. for the 5K and 10K distances. Registration Increase, April 20
Early registration is $20 for the 5K and 10K; fees increase to $25 on April 20. In May, the cost increases to $30. The One-Mile Fun Run is $10.

Tasting and Dr. Zhivegas After the Race
Post-race festivities include free beer and root beer tastings from Ferguson Brewing Company, a live concert, vendors, specials at local restaurants and more.
The high-energy, rock, pop, and dance band Dr Zhivegas will perform a free, live concert after the race, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Dr Zhivegas is well-known and performs at Ameristar Casino, Kirkwood Station, Syberg’s and private events For more details about the concert series, go to fergusoncitywalk.com and for more details about the band, go to drzhivegas.com.
Be a Race Volunteer
Organizers of Ferguson Twilight Run are seeking volunteer needed for packet pick up events and late registration activities. On race day, volunteers are needed for registration, course route, water stations, start/finish area and more. To become a volunteer, please complete the Volunteer Form at fergtwilightrun.com

Highlights of Ferguson Twilight Run
Ferguson Twilight Run is a family-friendly race for participants of all fitness levels. Baby joggers/strollers are welcome, but pets are not allowed. Recycling bins are provided for cups, bottles and other beverage containers. If possible, as on-site parking is limited. Valet bike parking will be available courtesy of Ferguson Bicycle Shop.
Parking will be available at McCluer South-Berkeley High School, 201 Brotherton. A free shuttle service will run every 10 minutes to the start line
Since 2010, proceeds from Ferguson Twilight Run have benefited youth scholarships to attend camp programs at the Emerson Family YMCA.
