Fraternal Fires 1st Annual Barbecue Cook-off at Knights of Columbus grounds at 50 rue St. Francois. Music starts at 6 p.m., Wing Ding at 6:30. $15 for wing tasting and two drinks. Other concessions available. Proceeds to Police and Fire Department charities. Event continues Saturday.

Saturday, April 13

Florissant Valley VFW Post 4105 will host an indoor Flea Market at the VFW from 8-1 at 410 Rue St Francois. Tables are $10. Call and leave a message for Nick at the VFW  (831-6121).

The Florissant Valley VFW Post 4105 will have a GI breakfast from 8- 11 a.m. at the VFW located at 410 Rue St Francois. Breakfast is $5.

St. Ferdinand Shrine holds a book sale, every Saturday, 9 a.m.-noon. The gift shop in the rectory will be open.
