Coleen Hannibal to be Installed 2013 Chairwoman of Greater N. County Chamber

COLEEN HANNIBAL is the 2013 Business Showcase chairwoman and will be installed at the new chairperson of the Greater North County Chamber of Commerce on April 12 at Norwood Hills Country Club.

Colleen Hannibal, the executive director of Crystal Creek Health and Rehabilitation Center in Florissant, has been named the chairwoman of the Greater North County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors for 2013.

Hannibal, 39, will be inducted at the chamber chairwoman at the annual Outstanding Business Person of the Year and Annual Installation Dinner on Friday, April 12, 2013 at Norwood Hills Country Club, One Norwood Hills Country Club Drive.

Hannibal, 39, currently serves as the chamber’s vice chairwoman of the board of directors and most recently served as the chairwoman of Casino Night and  is 2013 chairwoman of the Chamber’s Business Showcase and Taste of North County.

She  is inviting all the community to come to the Business Showcase and see all that our area has to offer. She said the Taste of North County will be an extra incentive to come out and sample food from area restaurants for only a small $5 fee.

Hannibal has been an active member of the chamber for the past 10 years, serving on the board of directors from 2006-2008 before rejoining the board in 2011.

She chaired the marketing committee from 2006-2008 and chaired the annual golf tournament in 2007, 2008 and 2011. She also served on several event committees including Nite of Stars, Mouse Races, Trivia Night and Casino Night and was an actress for the Chamber’s Murder Mystery Dinner Theater 2009-2012.

“The Greater North County Chamber of Commerce is so much more than a business association to me,” Hannibal said. “In the past 10 years I have had the privilege and honor to develop strong relationships with so many community members. We have worked hard to succeed in our common goals and the chamber has been there for me personally, especially concerning the illness of my son. I am fortunate and blessed to be a part of this wonderful and outstanding organization.”

Over the years, Hannibal has been involved with several civic and charitable organizations, including Soroptimist International of St. Louis, serving on its board 2006-2008; Old Town Partners, Missouri Health Care Association, Missouri League of Nursing, Accessible Play, North County Incorporated, Boy Scouts of America, and Girl Scouts of America.

Hannibal has worked in the health care field for the past 20 years and is a member of CommuniCare Health Services. She graduated with a Licensed Practical Nurse Certificate from Sanford Brown College and obtained her Nursing Home Administrator license in 2003. She also obtained certification through the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging as a Certified Aging Services Professional through the University of North Texas and was awarded the Outstanding Nursing Professional of the Year in 2004 by the Missouri League of Nursing.

Hannibal lives in Florissant with her three children, Amber 19, Nicholas 16 and Dylan 10.
