FFAC Opens New Season With River City Ramblers Sept. 30

The River City Ramblers leads off the 2012-13 Applause/Applause season with a performance of musical fun Sunday, Sept. 30 at 2 p.m.  All Dixieland performers, the well-known and loved Ramblers do more that just perform, they entertain with humorous tunes and antics.  Hear six expert musicians, specialize in the traditional sounds of river boat jazz, featuring singer Charles Glenn.

Applause/Applause provides nine entertaining evenings of music, theatre or dance programming ranging from classics to legendary hits and innovative contemporary shows, all presented in the comfortable Florissant Civic Center Theatre.  Conveniently located at Parker Road and Waterford Drive, the theatre offers plenty of free, well-lighted and secure parking.

The 2012-13 Applause/Applause Series offers nine outstanding performances from Off-Broadway to off the continent, from tender drama to laugh-out-loud comedy.  Ticket prices are $27 for adults and $25 for Seniors 62 and over and full-time students; group rates are also available.  Save money by purchasing a season ticket from a “menu” of offerings from 5 to all 9 shows.

The Florissant Fine Arts Council (FFAC), a non-profit organization, promotes cultural and educational activities by sponsoring performances of music, dance, theatre and art gallery exhibits.  For more than three decades, the FFAC has hosted professional touring productions in their affordable Applause/Applause series.
