Two Fundraisers For Officer Vernon: Cardinals Game, Golf Tournament

Two new events honoring for Florissant Police Officer Mike Vernon have been announced. The first is “Mike Vernon Night at the Ballpark,” on Wednesday, Sept. 19.  The Cardinals will be honoring Vernon at the game. An entire section of $53 seats have been reserved for Florissant residents at the special rate of $25. The second event is the Lloyd G. Harris Memorial Golf Tournament at Paradise Valley Golf and Country Club on Saturday, September 29. The proceeds from this year’s tournament will benefit Vernon. The four-person scramble tournament will begin with a 1 p.m. shotgun start. The cost is $95 per person, which includes 18 holds of golf, free beer and soda on the course, attendance prizes, and a dinner and awards ceremony after the tournament.
