Greater North County Chamber Hosts 2012 Scholarship Bowl

The Greater North County Chamber of Commerce will sponsor its 2012 Scholarship Bowl on Wednesday, Aug. 1, from 6 to 9 p.m., at AMF Dick Weber Lanes in Florissant.

The proceeds from the Scholarship Bowl fund the Chamber’s scholarship program which annually awards scholarships to area high school seniors.

The following students each received a $1,000 scholarship this year: Carolina Cruz, Hazelwood West High School; Lia Hanenburg, Hazelwood West High School; Travis Johnson, McCluer-South-Berkeley High School; Nicholas Nemerguth, Trinity Catholic High School; Ennis Randle, Riverview Gardens Senior High School; and Mia Watkins, Crossroads College Preparatory School.

Strike Sponsors to date are Emerson Family YMCA, Ferguson-Florissant School District, Hazelwood School District, ITS Computers, Life Care Center of Florissant, The Lipton Group, SSM DePaul Health Center, Trinity Catholic High School, and Zykan Family Partnership.

Lane Sponsors include Catering To You Banquet Center, Christian Hospital, City of Florissant, Attorney JoAnn Donovan, Northwest HealthCare, Paul Cerame Ford, St. Catherine Retirement Community, Stygar Florissant Chapel and Cremation Service, Valley Industries, Village North Retirement, Independent News and White Auto Body, Inc.

Frame Sponsor is Lutheran Senior Services; Pizza Sponsor is McClain Chiropractic Health & Injury; and Drink Sponsor is Handyman True Value Hardware.

The cost is $25 per person, which includes three games, shoes, drinks and food. Sponsorships are available: Strike Sponsor, $300, which includes a team of six players; Lane Sponsor, $100; and Frame Sponsor, $75. All sponsors receive signage and a listing in the program.
