Hazelwood West and Lutheran North will not only host High School District Baseball Tournaments, which begins May 12, but are the top seeds in their districts.
Hazelwood West gets a first-round bye in Class Four, District Six while the other six teams begin play May 12. At 10 a.m. as fourth-seeded McCluer North takes on fifth-seeded Riverview Gardens with the winner returning May 14 to take on Hazelwood West at 4:15. Meanwhile, back on May 12 at West second-seeded Hazelwood Central takes on seventh-seeded Jennings at 1 p.m. and third-seeded McCluer plays sixth-seeded Hazelwood East at 4 p.m. and those two winners play May 14 at a site to be determined, probably at Hazelwood Central at 4:15.
The Class Four, District Six title game is set for May 16, 4:15 at Hazelwood West and the district champion will host the winner from Class Four, District Five May 22, time to be announced, in the sectional.
Lutheran North will host Class Three, District Four and all but one semifinal game will be played at Lutheran North. The championship game will be played at Lutheran North, May 15, 4:15 with the winner hosting the Class Three Sectionals, May 22, time to be announced, against the winner from Class Three, District Three.
The Class Three, District Four tournament opens at 9 a.m. May 12 as third-seeded Metro with McKinley Classical Leadership plays sixth-seeded Beaumont followed at 1130 a.m. when Miller Career Academy plays seventh-seeded Vashon and the winners of the first two games on May 12 meet May 14, 4:15 at a site to be announced. The third game of May 12 at Lutheran North is scheduled to start at 2 p.m. as fourth-seeded Soldan International Studies meets fifth-seeded Cardinal Ritter with Lutheran North hosting the final game of May 12 at 4:30 against Northwest Academy of Transportation and Law with the winners of the 2 p.m. and 4:30 games on May 12 returning to Lutheran North May 14 for a 4:15 game.
Class Three, District Six will open May 12, times to be announced as the higher seeded teams playing at home. Winners advance to the semifinal round at the higher-seeded teams, date and times to be announced and the semifinal winners playing on a date and time to be announced for the district championship either at a higher seeded team site or at Orchard Farm. The Class Three, District Six winner host the Class Three, District Five winner, May 22 in the sectionals
On May 12 fourth-seeded Trinity Catholic host fifth-seeded Winfield with the winner playing top-seeded O’Fallon-Christian or eight-seeded McCluer South-Berkeley with the higher seeded team playing host. Christian hosts MS-Berkeley May 12. The other two opening round games on May 12 have second-seeded Duchesne hosting seventh-seeded Wright City and third-seeded Orchard Farm hosting sixth-seeded Lutheran-St. Charles County and those two winners play each other a the highest seeded site.
Class Four, District Five opens play at four sites on May 12 and closes with a championship game at a date and time to be announced at Ritenour. The district winner visits the winner of Class Four, District Six.
On May 12 Top-seeded St. Louis University High plays eighth-seeded Sumner at 12 noon, fourth-seeded Ritenour hosts University City at 10 a.m., second-seeded Ladue-Horton Watkins hosts Normandy at 12 noon and third-seeded Chaminade plays sixth-seeded Gateway Tech at 11 a.m. On May 14 the SLUH-Sumner winner plays the Ritenour-University City winner while the Ladue-Normandy winner plays the Chaminade-Gateway winner, sites and times to be announced.
CBC is the top seed in Class Four, District Seven and plays May 14 at Missouri Baptist University against the winner of the Pattonville-Parkway North game and Parkway North, seeded fourth, hosts fifth-seeded Pattonville May 12 at 12 noon. The other May 12 games have second-seeded Francis Howell North hosting seventh seeded St. Charles at 12 noon while third-seeded DeSmet hosts sixth-seeded Parkway Central at 11 a.m. and the two winners will play May 14, 4:15 at DeSmet, who hosts the May 16 Championship game at 4:15
The Class Four, District Eight winner hosts the Class Four, District Seven winner May 22, time to be announced.
All Quarterfinal games are May 24 at sites and times to be announced.
