Cardinals’ World Series Trophy at U.S. Cellular at St. Louis Mills Feb. 28

Are residents who still have St. Louis Baseball Cardinals fever after seeing their hometown team win the 2011 World Series will now be able to view and have their photo taken with the team’s championship trophy at St. Louis Mills on Tuesday, Feb.  28.  It will be on display at the U.S. Cellular store inside of St. Louis Mills, 5555 St. Louis Mills Boulevard, in Hazelwood from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

This tour stop of the Commissioner’s Trophy – awarded to the St. Louis Baseball Cardinals following their 2011 World Series victory — is one of 53 planned for U.S. Cellular retail locations in Missouri, Illinois, and Tulsa, Okla.

St. Louis Cardinals president Bill DeWitt III and Michelle Groves, sales director of U.S. Cellular in St. Louis, made the announcement about this trophy tour during a recent press conference.  “We are always looking for ways to enhance the fan’s experience,” Groves said.

At each stop, fans may have their photo taken with the trophy at no cost.  They are welcome to bring their own digital cameras or use their cell phone cameras, Groves noted.

The tour began on Saturday, Jan. 7, at the U.S. Cellular store, located at 6623 Delmar Boulevard, in University City from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Other tour stops presented by U.S. Cellular in North St. Louis County include the following locations:

Ferguson, Thursday, March 29 – U.S. Cellular store, located at 10708 W. Florissant Avenue, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

St. John, Thursday, Jan. 19 – U.S. Cellular store, located at 9004 St. Charles Rock Road, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
