As audience members left Hawthorne Players sold-out performance of the musical “Annie” at the Florissant Civic Center Theatre on Sunday they had a special treat of seeing billionaire Oliver Warbucks’ Cadilllac waiting to take him away.  Actually, the car belongs to Ron and Shannon Olson of Florissant.  It is a 1940 75 Series 5 Passenger Cadillac, one of only 155 of this model Cadillac made.

With the exception of upholstery and paint, it is in mostly original condition.  It is rumored to have originally been owned by Chicago mobster Carmine “Legs” DeCoCo.  It then spent time with owners in New Hampshire and New York, until 2007 when the Olson’s purchased it.

Pictured in front of the car on the right are Grace Robertson (Annie), Jim Merlo (Warbucks) and Kay Love (Grace Farrell).  Ron and Shannon Olson are at the left with their children Lily and Alex.
