Judge Kevin Kelly To Seek

Florissant City Judge Post

Kevin R. Kelly has announced that he will seek the office of municipal  judge for the City of Florissant in the special election to be held Nov. 8

Kevin R. Kelly is the brother of the late Judge Tim Kelly who won  another term in the April elections, but died a few weeks later leaving the city’s judge post vacant.

Judge Kevin Kelly currently serves as the municipal judge for the cities of Cool  Valley, Hazelwood and Maryland Heights and is the prosecuting attorney for  city of Dellwood.


He also is in the private practice of law.  Judge Kelly has  resided in Florissant for 54 years.

Judge Kelly is a member of the Missouri Municipal and Associate Judges  Association currently serving as an at large member of the Board of  Directors.  He was President of the Association in 2001-2002.  He is also a  member of the St. Louis County Bar Association’s Executive Committee having served since 2006.

“It would be a great honor to serve the city of Florissant as its municipal  judge.  I believe my experience in municipal courts for the past 30 years as  well as my familiarity with the court system, the community and its residents  makes me uniquely qualified for this position.”
