Mark proudly spoke about his family’s roots in Florissant and North County. His father and uncle, Mark A. Behlmann and Albert J. Behlmann, have been long-time builders of single-family housing in this area.

Mark and his wife Cathy are continuing that tradition. Mark is also the current president of the Hazelwood School Board and is in his third term on the school board. Hazelwood Supt. Chris Wright who is the current Florissant Chamber chairman of the board, also attended the event along with past chamber chairman Kevin McClain and chamber president Diana Weidinger.

The new gated community of 53 town home condominiums is being built off Carla Lane and N. New Florissant Road, about a mile north of N. Lindbergh in Florissant. The townhomes are being built to fit individual needs and feature wider doorways and hallways, reinforced stairway walls for an optional chairlift. An elevator is another option.

Prices will start at under $300,000 for condo units which will feature a private nature trail, a manicured lake and a community Behlmann says will be “ideal for active adults.”
