Roadway improvements to Howdershell Road, from south of Behlmann Lane to Carbonier Road, are expected to begin this spring and be completed in about nine months.

Pace Construction Company was the winning bidder with a contract amount of $1,624,323.75, Mayor Robert Lowery announed.

Work on Howdershell will include removal and replacement of badly deteriorated and damaged pavement, joints, curbs, ramps and sidewalks; some pavement surfacing and texturing; and Superpave asphalt-type concrete overlay. There will also be 114 A.D.A. accessible curb ramps installed.

All roadways will remain open during construction. The contract will be administered by St. Louis County.
