NCCU Honors Area Students

North County Churches Uniting for Racial Harmony and Justice (NCCU) is holding its third annual Youth Appreciation Awards Banquet in the May Center of DePaul Health Center on Oct. 17 at 4 p.m.

This year NCCU will be giving 15 awards to outstanding students in various categories.  “Each year, we select students from various school districts who are role models for their fellow students. We hear a great deal about those students who are having problems; therefore, we wanted to highlight some of the vast majority of students who are doing wonderful things in their schools,” said NCCU President Rance Thomas.  The following students will be receiving awards in the following categories:

High School Academic Awards

Tyler Branneky, Luther High School North
