Hazelwood to Impose ‘You Drink & Drive, You Lose’ Campaign Aug. 20

The Hazelwood Police Department will be cracking down on impaired drivers from Aug. 20 to Sept. 6 during the “You Drink & Drive.  You Lose” statewide campaign.

Enforcement efforts will be increased and focused on reducing deaths and serious injuries caused by intoxicated drivers. Two DWI Sobriety Checkpoints are planned for the weekends of Aug. 27-29 and Sept. 3-4 somewhere within the city limits of Hazelwood, as well as additional patrols during this public safety campaign.

“DWI enforcement is a priority for the Hazelwood Police Department,” said Carl Wolf, Chief of Police, Hazelwood Police Department.  “If you are stopped and found to be intoxicated, you will be arrested.”
