Florissant Historic Signage To Be Installed Along I-270

Mayor Robert G. Lowery, Sr. has announced that the Missouri Department of Transportation will be unveiling four signs along interstate I-270 referencing the “Downtown Florissant St. Ferdinand Central Historic District. An unveiling ceremony will be held today (Thursday, July 29) at 1 p.m. at Florissant City Hall.

“I am excited to promote, once again, Florissant’s historic district,” Mayor Lowery said in a statement,  These signs along I-270 will certainly draw more visitors in to our beautiful city and take advantage of not only Florissant’s historic district but all that out city has to offer.”

Lowery thnaked the representatives of the Missouri Department of Transportation, District Engineer Ed Hassinger, and North St. Louis Area Engineer  Larry Welty for the city  with the installation of these historic signs.

The Public Works Department, Engineering Division, is responsible for assuring the quality of bridge replacement projects through design and construction.
