Congrats to Spain, But Not to LaBron

BY RANDY GARDNER

So many people that I have talked to are glad that the World Cup is over but not me as I looked forward to coming home everyday from work and catching the games that I had recorded.

It is amazing how you can get so caught up in the aura of the entire thing. It is so cool to see countries completely come together and forget about all of their problems for just awhile. The finals were two teams that you usually wouldnt see near the finals. I heard everyone talk about how crappy the final game was but I thought it was actually pretty good.

I would have liked the game to go to penalty kicks though, that would have made it even more exciting. Congratulations to Spain though as the ended up being the better team in this one. Their were so many great goals in this World Cup along with some great goalkeeping. It seems like al I see now on TV is U.S. World Cup players on all of the talk shows, especially Landon Donovan. Pretty cool, huh.

I just herd a couple of words that no dad ever wants to hear and that is, I am barbering my brothers hair. I had to take a quick peek even though I am under deadline, to check and make sure that my youngest boy doesn’t look like one of the three stooges, thanks goodness, he just meant that he was combing his hair.

Back to sports, can you believe the spectacle that was put on by LeBron James. I guess it isn’t that big of a deal for us because we dont have basketball but now I have a feeling that all major sporting figures will pull this big time stuff.

At least, he gave all of the money he raised to charity, to the boys and girls Club. Now, LeBRon down in Miami can hang out with the Kardashians. There will probably soon be a new reality show with all of these guys on it. Oh well, when you are that rich and famous, you are a marketing machine.

I actually hope that LeBron does well because when one sport seems to do well in a market they all do and the Dolphins football team can really use some help. Over the next few weeks, I will be taking a closer look at this upcoming Rams season. I am really looking forward to seeing Sam Bradford lead this team to some victories, Just watch, we are all going to be really suprised.
