Florissant Mayor Robert G. Lowery, Sr. and Bob Russell, Economic Development director have announced that Best Buy and Dick’s Sporting Goods will locate in the old Value City location on North Highway 67.
There will be a third announcement of another business at that site later “as they have asked for an extension,” said the mayor.
The new developments will need council approval, and no dates on when they be before the council has been announced.
Lowery and Russell also announced that Fifth Third Bank has purchased the property next to Dierberg’s (the old King Auto) location and will tear down the old derelict buildings and put in a new facility. “We are exceptionally pleased to finally find a tenant for this location,” said Lowery. “It has been an eyesore for too long.”
It was also announced that Marty Cancilla Dodge at North Highway 67 & Thunderbird will be selling a part of its property to Quik-Trip for the development of a new convenience and service facility.
