Hazelwood Central, Lutheran North Are District Baseball Tournament’s Top Seeds

Hazelwood Central and Lutheran North are each seeded first in Missouri State High School District Baseball which begins May 15 and are scheduled to end by May 22

Hazelwood Central has a first-round bye in Class Four, District Six and will host the winner of number five seed Hazelwood East or number four seed McCluer May 18 at 4:15. McCluer hosts East on May 17 at 4:15.

Hazelwood West, seeded second,  is the tournament host and will host seventh-seeded Riverview Gardens May 17 at 4:15. Also that same day and time third-seeded McCluer North hosts sixth-seeded Jennings. Those two winners play May 18, 4:15 at the highest-seeded winner.

Hazelwood West will host the championship game May 20 at 4:15 and the district champion will host the sectional round game May 25, time TBA, against the winner of Class Four, District Five, likely to be St. Louis University High.

Lutheran North opens Class Three District Four play May 15 at 9 a.m. as tournament host and will host eighth-seeded Imagine College Prep Charter. In Fact all four first-round game will be at Lutheran North including fourth-seeded Cardinal Ritter against fifth-seeded Soldan-International Studies at 11:30 a.m., second-seeded Trinity Catholic against seventh-seeded Miller Career Academy at 2 p.m. and third-seeded McCluer South-Berkeley against sixth-seeded Metro with McKinley Classical Leadership at 4:30.

The May 15 winners will play May 17, 4:15, at Lutheran North or the higher seeded winner. That means the 9 a.m. winner plays the 11:30 a.m. winner while the 2 p.m. winner plays the 4:30 winner. The May 17 winners play May 18, 4:15 at Lutheran North and the district champion will host the District Three winner May 25, time TBA

Sectional winners play in the State Quarterfinals, May 27 at sites and times TBA.
