Red Cross & Florissant Team Up For Training in CPR

You can be a hero in your own community – no superhuman strength required. Join the American Red Cross and the City of Florissant on Saturday, May 15, from 8 a.m.-1 p.m., at the James J. Eagan Center and learn CPR, donate blood or learn how to prepare for emergencies.

For one day, up to 100 people will learn the basics of CPR at a reduced cost of only $10 (a $47 value). In addition, the American Red Cross will hold a blood drive, because the need for blood is constant.

The CPR training can only accommodate the first 100 people who register. Visit www.redcrossstl.org to register for the CPR class, or call 314-516-2740. To register to give blood, call 1-800-GIVE-LIFE or go to www.redcrossblood.org and enter the code “CHN.” Walk-in blood donors will be accepted.

Anyone that attends the Community Hero Day will get a free tee-shirt. The Red Cross will also teach how to prepare for emergencies such as home fires, natural disasters and more.
