SLCC-Florissant Valley Hosts Campus Open House April 10

St. Louis Community College at Florissant Valley will open the campus to the community for the Florissant Valley Open House. The Open House will be held from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., Saturday, April, 10, on the campus at 3400 Pershall Road, Ferguson. The Open House will showcase the many things Florissant Valley has to offer.

Visitors can take tours of the many facilities on campus including KCFV 89.5 FM, the student radio station, our brand new HD television studio, fitness center, Child Development Center, chemistry labs and rooftop observatory.

There will be several hands-on, interactive activities. Visitors can design a sports utility vehicle using 3D/ solid modeling. Exhibits include student and faculty art, a 3D printing machine and DNA fingerprinting and isolation. There will also be several free workshops on personal computer safety. Activities for children include a scavenger hunt, petting zoo and robotic tic-tac-toe game.

Visitors can also see classes in session, get information on the various degree and certificate programs and speak with a division representative.

Free lunch and giveaways will be available on a first-come first-serve basis.
