The Greater North County Chamber of Commerce recently awarded scholarships to five exceptional high school seniors.

The students chosen to receive this year’s scholarships are: Ryan Hartsock, Hazelwood West High School; James Bell, Hazelwood West High School; Anna Heithaus, Incarnate Word Academy; Julia Kohnen, Incarnate Word Academy; and Enanuvie Ewharekuko, McCluer North High School.

The students were recognized at the chamber’s March Membership Meeting. The chamber began the scholarship program seven years ago and it has grown substantially. With the dedication and support of Chamber members and local residents the Chamber has been able to award $30,000 in scholarships. Each year scholarships are funded by donations and a fall bowling tournament. All proceeds raised are placed into the scholarship fund.
