Ring of Fire coming to the Rep March 17

The First Look performances of Ring of Fire at The Rep opens on March 18 or March 19 at 7 p.m. for the chance to experience the music and story before Opening Night. There’s something special about being in that early audience — when the energy is electric and the show is just beginning its run.

This isn’t just a musical — it’s a full-throttle concert experience celebrating the legendary music of Johnny Cash. Featuring iconic hits like “I Walk the Line,” “Folsom Prison Blues,” “Man in Black,” “Jackson,” “Cry, Cry, Cry,”and, of course, “Ring of Fire,” the show brings the sound, spirit, and storytelling of The Man in Black to life — and that’s just the beginning. The Repertory Theater is located   in Webster Groves.

Opening Night follows that Friday — and the celebration kicks into highar.

                

   Kurt Zischke as Older Johnny Cash

Kurt brings decades of stage and screen experience to Ring of Fire. His Rep credits include All The Way, Born Yesterday, and Emma, and on Broadway he appeared in The Buddy Holly Story.

He has performed in more than 120 regional productions at theatres including The Old Globe and Pioneer Theatre Company. His television work includes Law & Order: CI and All My Children.

Kurt trained at the Neighborhood Playhouse under Sanford Meisner and is a member of the Actor’s Equity Association (AEA), American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA), and Screen Actors Guild (SAG).

Andrew’s career spans Broadway tours, regional theatre, and film and television. He has toured nationally in Jersey Boys, Million Dollar Quartet, and The Lion King, and has appeared in regional productions of Ring of Fire, Jersey Boys, Million Dollar Quartet, and Buddy Holly at theatres across the country.

His screen credits include Spike Lee’s Miracle at St. Anna and television appearances on The Blacklist, New Amsterdam, Bull, and Godfather of Harlem. Andrew holds a BFA from Elon University and is a proud member of the Actor’s Equity Association and Screen Actors Guild‐American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA).
