Christmas Wonderland – Rock Spring Park holiday lights display is open Nov. 27-Dec. 27, on College Avenue in Alton, Illinois. The Florissant Valley Jaycees are having their annual Christmas Tree Lot, Dec. 1-23. Team, Jaycee scholarship fund, and Accessible Play, Inc. received funds from the proceeds. Missouri Botanical Garden’s Holiday Wreath Exhibit will be held now-Jan. 3, featuring unique creations by some of the area’s finest floral designers. St. Louis County Community Chorus will perform its holiday concert on Thursday, Dec. 10, at the Kirk of the Hills Presbyterian Church, 12928 Ladue Rd., and on Friday, Dec. 11, in the Keating Center at Kirkwood High School, 801 W. Essex Ave. The concerts will begin at 8 p.m. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children in advance, or $12 and $5 at the door.

Gen. Daniel Bissell House Museum tour will be held on Friday, Dec. 11 and Saturday, Dec. 12 at 7, 8 and 9 p.m. The House will be decorated as it might have been in the early 19th century and lit entirely by candlelight. Tour guides will also be dressed in period clothing. Hot chocolate and cider with Christmas cookies will be served.

Northwinds Concert Band, under the direction of Larry Marsh, will present a Holiday Concert on Sunday, Dec. 13 at 3 p.m. in the Florissant Civic Center Theatre. Special guests include the University of Missouri-St. Louis Symphonic Band directed by Gary Brandes, and guest conductor, Austrian composer Otto M. Schwarz, who will lead the ensembles in performances of his works. The concert is sponsored by UMSL’s German Culture Center.

Lafayette Square Holiday Parlor Tour will be held on Sunday, Dec. 13, from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Ten homes will be featured that were built in the last 1800s. Hawthorne Players “A Christmas Carol” will present the Charles Dickens’ classic “A Christmas Carol” at the Florissant Civic Center Theatre stage. The show, adapted and directed by Nancy Crouse, will be presented on Dec. 18 at 8 pm, Dec. 19 at 2 and 7 p.m. and on Dec. 20 at 2 p.m.
