The City of Florissant, Florissant Old Town Partners, The Old St. Ferdinand Shrine, Valley of Flowers Committee, and the Miracle on St. Francois Committee all collaborated to host the 4th Annual Miracle on St. Francois on Saturday, Nov. 30. The weather forecast called for a Winter Wonderland consistent throughout the day, accumulating almost 4 inches of snow.

The festival included an ice sculpture, retail, craft, and food vendors, Christmas train rides, pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus, crafts, face painting by the Florissant Queen and court, caroling by the St. Marks Methodist Church, Tablescapes, a golf cart parade, and much more.

Following the golf cart parade, as always, was the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on the front lawn of City Hall. The crowd continued to grow all day leading up to the ceremony. Mayor Tim Lowery spoke, along with Council President, Robert Parson. They surprised everyone by bringing Santa up to the balcony of City Hall. After that Florissant Queen, Sydney Cavlovich turned on the lights in front of City Hall for the first time this year,

This event takes a village, and with snow falling all day this year, a lot of hard work was required to put this event on. The City of Florissant thanks everyone who worked hard to make this event happen, and most importantly, we thank the residents for coming out regardless of the weather.
