St. Louis County Parks Activities: County Parks conducts hundreds of events and programs throughout the year. Here are some coming attractions.
**Things That Go Bump: Explore Victorian spiritualism with members of the Mourning Society of St. Louis from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, July 20, at the historic General Daniel Bissell House, 10225 Bellefontaine Road in North County.
Mourning Society members will present a fascinating overview of spirit communications as they were conducted in the 19th century, from the early spirit rapping cases to automatic writing, séances and spirit cabinets.
There’s no telling if any real spirits will materialize, but attendees are sure to learn something new!
The event is free and refreshments will be available. Pre-registration is required.
