Celebration. Bike Ride is Sunday, April 14

The grand opening of the new Chain of Rocks Bridge Park is Sunday, April 14, and opening with a five mile family-friendly bike ride that begins at Chouteau Island Trailhead and ends at the grand opening celebration in the beautiful new grounds on the MO side of the Chain of Rocks Bridge.

There, you will be able to enjoy a wonderful celebration of the progress that Great Rivers Greenway and its partners are bringing to the region.

Ride Information: Trailnet and GRG Partnership Bike Ride

Event Date: Sunday, April 14, (rain date: Sunday, April 28)

Ride Start Location: Chouteau Island Trailhead (4205 Chain of Rocks Road, Granite City, IL 62040).

Ride Start Directions: From I-270, take exit 3 in Illinois and go south on Lewis and Clark Blvd. Take your first right onto Chain of Rocks Road. Continue straight for 2 miles, crossing over the canal bridge, and end at the Old Chain of Rocks Bridge parking lot. Check-In Time: 12 pm Ride Start Time: 1 pm

Public parking is located at Chouteau Island Trailhead or North Riverfront Park for the opening celebration on Sunday. Bus shuttles will operate between the North Riverfront Park north parking lot and Chain of Rocks Park.

Bike Parking celebration from 2-4 pm
