SPRING AT THE MISSOURI BOTANICAL GARDEN
Garden to stay open late on Thursdays, host spring events

With new spring flowers bursting into bloom each week, the Missouri Botanical Garden is the perfect place to celebrate spring. Beginning March 21, the Garden will offer extended hours on Thursdays for a chance to see these blooms during golden hour.

Spring will also bring seasonal reopenings and favorite annual events like Chinese Culture Days and Grapes in the Garden. Look for these seasonal happenings this spring at the Garden:

March 21: Evening Hours Begin on Thursdays The Garden will stay open until 8 p.m., last entry at 7:30 p.m., on Thursdays starting March 21. Take a sunset stroll through the Garden and enjoy seasonal blooms in the evening hours. Sit down to dinner on the patio at Sassafras Restaurant or grab a drink and a bite to-go from Sassafras Cafe. The Garden Gate Shop will remain open until 8 p.m. All indoor conservatories, including the Climatron, will be open during evening hours on Thursdays.

March 30: Seasonal Re-openings
The Garden will re-open the Doris I. Schnuck Children’s Garden, daily tram service, and Tower Grove House on March 30.

A family favorite, the Children’s Garden gives kids a place to climb, splash, explore, and play. The area features slides, treehouses, wetlands, a cave, a steamboat, a prairie village, and more. The Childrens Garden is open 9 a.m.–4 p.m. daily. Starting April 4, the Children’s Garden will stay open until 7 p.m. on Thursdays during extended hours and will be included with general admission from 5 to 7 p.m.

Rest your feet, relax and enjoy the sights — experience the Missouri Botanical Garden on our tram Narrated tram tours are offered from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.     Stop at Tower Grove House Wednesday – Sunday and hear about the Garden’s history, which dates back to its 1859 opening.

April 5 and 6: Arbor Day Tree Giveaway
9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Kemper Center for Home Gardening

Celebrate Arbor Day in Missouri and receive a free Missouri native tree sapling from the William T. Kemper Center for Home Gardening. Kemper Center staff will provide planting and care tips and be available to answer your tree care questions. Vendors to include the St. Louis Arborists Assoc., Missouri Department of Conservation, and Spire.
Included with Garden admission. Tree saplings available while supplies last.

May 10: Grapes in the Garden
5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Taste more than 250 wines, both international and domestic, and enjoy live musical entertainment. Attendees receive a souvenir tasting glass, and wine specialists from Schnucks are available to answer questions and guide your sampling adventure. Special case pricing is also available for wines sampled.

Attendees must be at least 21 years old. Advance tickets recommended, as a sellout is expected. Tickets available at mobot.org.

May 18 and 19: Chinese Culture Days
9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Immerse yourself in awe-inspiring Chinese cultural performances, music, art, and history while enjoying authentic cuisine.
Please note: No trams, free hours, or early morning walking hours on signature event weekends.
