MoDOT to Completely Close New Florissant Rd. Between Dunn and Pershall Roads, Nov. 18-20

MoDOT to Completely Close New Florissant Rd.
Between Dunn and Pershall Roads, Nov. 18-20

Drivers who regularly use New Florissant Road (Route N) at I-270 should be aware of this upcoming weekend closure. The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) will completely close New Florissant Road between Dunn Road and Pershall Road in both directions and reduce both eastbound and westbound I-270 traffic to one lane over Route N, between 5 a.m., Friday, Nov. 18 and 5 a.m. Monday, November 21.
The closure will allow crews to remove the remainder of the bridge over New Florissant Road. Drivers should choose alternate routes along Dunn and Pershall roads, to avoid the area during the weekend closure.
Detours for New Florissant Road are as follows:
Southbound traffic will bypass construction by traveling west on Dunn Road to travel south on Hanley Avenue/Graham Road, to travel east on Pershall Road back to New Florissant Road
Northbound traffic will bypass construction by taking Pershall Road east to Washington

Street/Elizabeth Avenue, to travel north on Washington Street/Elizabeth Avenue, to travel west on Dunn Road back to New Florissant Road
Drivers who regularly use the eastbound I-270 exit ramp at New Halls Ferry should note that the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) has changed the ramp closure date from Nov. 15 to Nov. 21, due to inclement weather.
The closure is now scheduled to begin on Monday, Nov. 21 at 7a.m. The duration of the closure has not changed. The ramp will be closed for two weeks.
During this closure, the old I-270 exit ramp pavement will be removed to build a new connection to New Halls Ferry Road.
Detours for the closure are as follows:
Drivers are encouraged to exit eastbound I-270 at Washington Street/Elizabeth Avenue and travel east on Pershall Road to New Halls Ferry Road.
