Throughout the month of August, the Hazelwood School District will celebrate grand re-opening events at Lusher, McCurdy, Jamestown, Barrington, Garrett, Russell and Keeven elementary schools.

Each of the schools received either new or renovated libraries, classrooms, student services areas and main office. The renovations and improvements were made possible by a $65 million bond initiative approved by voters in 2006.

The celebrations include remarks from District leaders, ribbon-cuttings, tours of the building and more. The dates and times are:

August 6            5:30 p.m.     Lusher Elementary School, 2015 Mullanphy Road, Florissant.

6:30 p.m.            McCurdy Elementary School, 975 Lindsay Lane, Florissant.

August 10     5:30 p.m.            Jamestown Elementary School, 13750 Old Jamestown Road,

6:30 p.m.            Barrington Elementary School. 15600 Old Halls Ferry Road.

August 11   5:30 p.m.            Garrett Elementary School, 1400 Ville Rosa Lane, Hazelwood

6:30 p.m.            Russell Elementary School, 7350 Howdershell Road, Hazelwood.

August 20   5:30 p.m.            Keeven Elementary School, 11230 Old Halls Ferry Road.

All District students, parents and patrons are welcome to attend the celebrations.
