Sadly, Koch Park Pool is Closed Indefinitely

Bangert Park and White Birch Bay will open their pools May 26, but Koch Park Family Aquatic Center will no longer be open. The City of Florissant announced the closing of the facility, which opened in 1995, because the age and condition of the facility has made its continued operation fiscally imprudent and structurally impractical.

City officials, with the assistance of professional aquatic consultants, will be reviewing, inspecting, analyzing and assessing the existing area and structure; conducting and performing feasibility and design studies; and holding public information forums to determine the best use of the current Koch Park location.

For remaining pools to open, the temperature must reach 75 degrees before noon and after 4 p.m. pools will close if the temperature dips below 75 degrees. All residents must show proof of a current resident card. Some reduced rates available after July 9.
