Trinity, IWA Girls Soccer State Bound

Trinity Catholic High School, Incarnate Word Academy and Pattonville High School Girls Soccer teams will battle for Missouri State High School Activities Association championships this weekend at the Anheuser-Busch Center, Fenton.

Trinity is making their first girls semifinal appearance and will play on Field One at 1 p.m. against Springfield Catholic after the Perryville-St. Vincent/Kansas City-St. Pius X game at 11 a.m. Saturday the winners return to Field one to play at 12 noon in the title game while the losers play on field Five at 11 a.m. for third place.

Incarnate Word Academy, Class Two Champions last year, go for their ninth state title overall in the inaugural year of Class Three Girls Soccer as the Red Knights play Glendale Friday on Field One at 7 p.m.. Prior to that game Pattonville, Suburban North Conference Champions in their first semifinal since finishing second to Nerinx Hall in 1988, play on the same field Friday at 5 p.m. against Nerinx Hall.

Saturday the winners play on Field one at 6 p.m. in the title game while the losers play on Field Five at 1 p.m. for third place.
