More than 230 guests enjoyed the sold-out ‘Roaring 20s’ Nite of Stars festivities at the Greater North County Chamber gala on Dec. 1 at the Paul Detrick Atrium on the campus of Christian Hospital.

The gala included food, drinks, dancing, and live and silent auctions.  Kent Miller Photography snapped holiday photos of the guests, Big Papa G Entertainment provided the music, John Grabowski was the auctioneer for the live auction items, and Delmar Gardens provided a photo booth for the event.

Chamber president Venus Martz announced the selection of Nathan and Christina Bennett for the 2018 Business Person of the Year.  The Bennetts, co-owners of Hendel’s Café in Old Florissant have been long-standing community leaders for North County.  They are involved in numerous civic and charitable organizations including Florissant Old Town Partners and Sacred Heart Church.  The Bennetts will be recognized at the Chamber’s Annual Installation luncheon Jan. 17 at Detrick auditorium at Christian Hospital.

“Nathan and Christina are the epitome of what leadership is.  They are committed to making a positive impact in our community and we are so thrilled that they are receiving this prestigious award,” said Martz.

Martz said the evening was a huge success, thanks in part to the businesses, organizations and individuals that donated items for the live and silent auctions and to the 2017 Nite of Stars sponsors.
