Kids in the City of Hazelwood “better watch out,” “better not cry,” “better not pout” we’re telling them why, “Santa Claus is coming to town.” As part of their Community Outreach Program, Hazelwood Firefighters are bringing jolly old Saint Nick back to Hazelwood again for the annual “Santa Parade” program from Dec. 7 to Dec. 21.

This year’s format for the “Santa Parade” will be different than previous years. The Hazelwood firefighters will be escorting Santa on a pre-planned street route through each ward from 5 to 6 p.m. The decision to limit the streets this year is due to safety concerns and limited access on some streets and courts.

Each parade will end at a major City park around 6 p.m. for a 2-hour Holiday Party,

giving kids the opportunity to meet Santa and have photos taken with him, passing out candy, and serving hot chocolate. While Christmas music is playing, everyone can tour the City’s fire trucks and ambulance as well.

The dates for Hazelwood’s 2017 “Santa Parade.” Follow: The first one is scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 7, in Ward 1. They will be parading on these streets from 5 to 6 p.m.: Undercliff; Cherryvale; Village Square; Imperial; Holiday; Lynn Haven; Howdershell; Deville; and Riderwood.
