Lowery meets with MoDOT on Hwy 67 improvements

Florissant Mayor Robert Lowery said he has been informed that $8 million has been allocated to make improvements along N. Lindbergh (Highway 67) from Charbonier to New Halls Ferry to include pavement, sidewalk and beautification updates.

The mayor recently met with Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) North County Area Manager Bill Schnell and his associate Lee Hilner on the progress and design and right-of-way acquisitions. Lowery said they told him that this project was originally scheduled for 2009 and it would moved up to 2008.

Mayor Lowery told them that improvements on Patterson/Lindsey at North Lindbergh need to be implemented as soon as possible to alleviate traffic back-ups at these intersections. “Any way to expedite it would be of great interest to the citizens of Florissant and the unincorporated areas as well.”.
