Loretta LaRoche, the internationally acclaimed stress management and humor consultant, will present “Siren of Stress” at Christian Hospital’s Heart Fair on Saturday, Feb. 18. In addition to the comedy of LaRoche, there will also be presentations to raise awareness of heart disease. All lectures and presentations are between 9:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.

Carlos Yu, MD, a neurologist, will discuss the signs and symptoms of a stroke, and cardiologist Aaron Dimmitt, MD, will discuss heart disease and prevention. Sue Hofmann, a nursed practitioner and certified diabetes educator, will provide information on diabetes. LaRoche will use humor to point out how reducing stress can reduce the risk of heart disease.

There will also be free screenings for cholesterol, glucose, and blood pressure. Tours of the CH Surgery Center will emphasize knowing what advanced heart care is available in at the hospital before an emergency occurs. There will be informational displays, refreshments, and an art exhibit and sale.
