Undefeated Hazelwood Central Advance to District 6 Finals

When Hazelwood Central High School Hawks went undefeated in 2013 in the regular season, many of their now star players were only freshman. The Central Hawks (11-0) will face off against another undefeated team, CBC in the District 6 finals Saturday, Nov. 5 at Hazelwood Central High School. The game starts at 1 p.m.

The Hawks are led by Captains, Jordan Carey, Ed Becton, Antonio Triplett and Jason Posely.

“I am so proud of these young men,” said Van Vanatta, Central High head football coach. “We have a group of good young men, both on the field and off the field, and I believe that reflects the year that we have had.”

The Hawks defeated SLUH on Oct. 29 at Hazelwood Central High School to earn the right to place CBC this Saturday. It’s the fourth in a row, the Hawks and Cadets will meet in the district finals.
