The International Association of Chiefs of Police

chief-loweryChief Lowery Florissant Police Chief Timothy Lowery has been installed as the general chair of the State Associations of Chiefs of Police (SACOP). Chief Lowery is one of 13 individuals from around the world that were appointed to the Executive Board of the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) at their annual conference that was held in San Diego, CA.   Chief Lowery is the past Vice Chair of SACOP and has been a member of the IACP for many years.

The International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) is a professional association for law enforcement worldwide. For more than 120 years, the IACP has been launching internationally acclaimed programs, speaking on behalf of law enforcement, conducting groundbreaking research, and providing exemplary programs and services to members across the globe.

Today, the IACP continues to be recognized as a leader in these areas. By maximizing the collective efforts of the membership, IACP actively supports law enforcement through advocacy, outreach, education, and programs. By engaging in strategic partnerships across the public safety spectrum, the IACP provides members with resources and support in all aspects of law enforcement policy and operations. These tools help members perform their jobs effectively, efficiently, and safely, while also educating the public on the role of law enforcement to help build sustainable community relations.

Chief Lowery began his law enforcement career in 1985 as a member of the St. Louis County Police Department. He joined the Florissant Police Department in 1989, as a patrolman. Chief Lowery rose through the ranks and was appointed as the Chief of Police in January 2013.

Lowery is also a member of Missouri Police Chiefs Association, St. Louis Area Police Chiefs Association, Law Enforcement Officials of Greater St. Louis, North County Police Chief’s Association, F.B.I National Academy Associates, and the International Homicide Investigators. He serves on the executive board for the Greater St. Louis Major Case Squad.
