Florissant Taking Photos For New ’09 Resident Cards

The City of Florissant Parks & Recreation Department is taking pictures for the 2009 Resident. Those having 2008 resident cards do not need to renew their card unless they are purchasing a pass such as for the Fitness Center, Swimming Pools, etc.

A resident card is required for ages 6 and over, for access to the James J. Eagan Center, JFK Community Center, to obtain picnic permits, admittance to pools, ice rink and all other recreation facilities and to receive resident rates for classes and room rentals. Initial cards are free of charge. Every even numbered year (such as 2010), all cards will need to be renewed and proof of residency must be shown.

Note: Anyone purchasing seasonal or yearly passes (i.e. swimming pass, fitness center pass, etc.) will need to renew their passes, and thus their cards, on a yearly basis.

Proof of Residency

Individuals 18 years and older, must provide a valid photo I.D. and one of the following articles that have been mailed to your address: unpaid utility bill, received within the last 30 days, bearing your name and Florissant address, or a monthly business statement dated within the last 30 days. Individuals under 18 must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardian. Assistance in determining other items which may be used for proof of residency is available by calling 921-4466 or 921-4250.
