Sunday, Oct. 11

   Sacred Heart Catholic School in Florissant will celebrate Octoberfest on beginning with Mass in the Grass at 10:30 a.m. Proceeds from the event benefit the grade school. Activities include rides and games, chili cook-off, wine and beer garden, live music by Mixed Company (noon until 3 p.m.) and Lafayette Bank (4 to 8 p.m.), washer games, sports on the big screen, and chicken dinner (4 to 6 p.m.).

   Meat Shoots  at American Legion Post 444, 19090 Old Jamestown Road, will be held every Sunday from noon til dusk from now until Thanksgiving.
