Rams Better Turn It Around If They Expect To See Fans at the Dome

Now that we are two games into the Rams preseason, I feel worse about the upcoming Rams season than I did at the beginning of camp. I know it’s preseason, the starters have only played a few sets of downs but the team is not looking good on either side of the ball.

I also know that we have two top-notch players in Nick Foles and Todd Gurley that will make a huge difference, but if they’re not protected by the O-Line, it won’t make a difference. It’s the same old story every year.

All indications of what I have been hearing from St. Louis fans is that when this team plays at home, the stadium is going to be filled up about a fourth of the way. That is a shame. It is really unfortunate for all of the St. Louis football fans who really want to go see a football team that it has an owner and a franchise that doesn’t really care about what is really going on with their team.

You look at Cardinal baseball, and I talk about this all of the time — when you build a supportive atmosphere with your fans they will always have your back and that’s the way it is with everything in life whether it’s work, marriage or friendship.

If the Rams don’t get things straightened out before the preseason is over, I think we’re going to see a lot of games with empty seats in the regular season. Unfortunately that will be Rams ownership’s excuse for trying to move this team, that the fans are not supporting the franchise. The only thing that will fix this problem is winning and I actually don’t think that Stan Kronke wants his team to win.

Fall Time For Cardinals and Prep Sports

What a great time of the year it is with the weather starting to cool down and high school sports cranking up. That also means that we are in the stretch run for the St. Louis Cardinals. As usual, we all expected them to be playing late into October when the nights are nice and cool. If you get a chance to get out to a high school soccer or football game or any sporting event at the high school level, do so because it is an awesome experience and a great atmosphere. There are several schools around town that you can choose from and a wonderful of array of sports to choose from.

The high school level sporting events are some of the purest sporting events because when you get into the college and pro sports you have so much pressure, money and many other factors on the line and sometimes it gets watered down.

The pure passion of high school sports is what pushes a lot of kids to excel in school and to become better individuals.
