Judith Dyer. a long time resident of Florissant, is a finalist in the Ms. Senior Missouri Pageant. Her brothers live there and her great grandfather was mayor in the 1930s.
The Missouri Pageant Alumnae Club will host the Ms Senior Missouri Pageant Sunday, July 12, at 2 p.m. at the Florissant Civic Center, #1 James Eagan Drive. Contestants must be women who live in Missouri and are at least 60 years old.
The winner will be compete in four areas:
- A philosophy of life statement recited in 35 seconds
- A personal 7-minute interview with professional judges
- A demonstration of poise by modeling an age-appropriate evening gown
- A 2+ minute competitive talent presentation
The contestant who best exhibits the elegance, poise and maturity of today’s woman over 60 will be crowned queen and represent the state of Missouri in the Ms. Senior America Pageant in October.
Reserved seats can be purchased by calling Florissant Civic Center Box Office at 314-921-5678. Advanced tickets are $15, groups of 10 or more are $10 and those purchased the day of the pageant are $17. More information is available at http://www.missourisenior.org.
